Instructions:

Circular Mode (coming soon): Meant primarily for measuring crop circles and other circular objects. Tap in the center of the crop circle to drop a pin, and then on the edge; a circle will be rendered and the circumference and area displayed. Circles can also be saved, exported, and loaded like regular measurements, and rendered on Google Earth via the KML export utility included.

Statement on accuracy: A careful measurement's error is 1.0 to 3.0% for area and 0.1% to 0.5% in perimeter. These errors numbers were found by measuring a NFL football field, like Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH. The regulation length with end zones is 109.728 meters, the width is 48.758 meters, and the area is 5351 square meters, or 1.32 acres.

Q: When I try to complete an enclosed perimeter or area shape, I cannot place the last marker near my first marker. How is this done?

A: Drop the marker that you want to use to enclose the shape relatively close to the beginning. Pick up this last-dropped marker by tapping and holding it, then dragging it on top of the first marker you dropped. You will have a near-perfect match-up.

Q: Why are there gaps in some of the lines I export to Google Earth?

A: This is because "3D Buildings" is turned on in Google Earth. If this bothers you, turn off "3D Buildings" by navigating to within the Google Earth app: Sidebar, then "Map Style", then "Turn on 3D Buildings" toggle it to off.
